Known for his smooth backflip combos, Jimmy Fitzpatrick has been on the freestyle scene for over 15 years. Fitz has locked in five, first place IFMA Championship finishes. Fitz has also finished first during the 2007 Geneva Freestyle Championships, IFMXF Night of the Jumps Italy event, and the 2007 X Pilots competition. In addition, Fitz has also placed second overall during the Asian X Games.

How did you begin riding motocross/freestyle motocross?
I loved to watch the “Crusty” videos and grew up around dirt bikes and once I was old enough to do tricks, I started doing tricks.
What are your personal and professional goals?
Personally to live a successful life and professionally to stay healthy through my FMX career.
What is the hardest part of being a freestyle motocross rider?
Having to deal with injuries and watching your best friends be hurt or even worse.
Do you have any superstitions or pre-performance rituals?
I always put my left glove on first, always.
Do you have any special skills off the bike?
I’m pretty good at acrobatics and used to be a junior Olympic diver for six years.
Where is the greatest place you have visited?
Australia. It was a blast and the people were awesome.
