Joop Katana

Katana’s recent stunt action portfolio includes The Solo Adventures, Spring Break ’83, and Army Wives. He also performed for the Walt Disney Company including training performers for events in Japan, and the NBA’s Orlando Magic. This is Katana’s first tour with Nuclear Cowboyz Freestyle Chaos.

NC: What do you consider your greatest achievement?  

JK: My daughter is my magnum opus.

NC: Who or what inspired you to be a stunt performer? 

JK: My heroes were the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  I also was inspired by Bruce Lee and definitely Jackie Chan.

NC: What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done?  

JK: I was suspended 13 stories high on an unfinished commercial building with nothing underneath me except coconut fibers and twigs…don’t ask me how I got up there to begin with or what happened next!
